U.E., A.N.C. Homemaker, enthusiastic musician, caring nurse, community-minded, very interested in the welfare of others, unwavering positive attitude, passed away on February 6, 2002 at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto, after a valiant fight at great odds over a number of years. The cherished, devoted wife and very dear friend and partner of Donald Walter Lambie; predeceased by her first husband, Sgt. Joseph William Lapp, 48th Highlanders of Canada, R.C.I.C., 1st Canadian Division, killed in action on October 3, 1943, near Campobasso, Italy; and Leslie Wilmot Corner. Survived by her son Alan Joseph (Dorothy) Lapp of Barrie, Ontario, and her daughter, Jo-Anne (Bonnie) Davis of Toronto, Ontario. She will be greatly missed by her loving and precious grandchildren, Victoria (Stephen) McFadden of Georgetown, Ontario, Alan G. (Diana) Lapp, Courtice, Ontario, Andrew and Bradley Lapp of Barrie, Ontario, and Valerie (Trevor) Black of Thornton, Ontario; and great-grandchildren Justin, Stephanie, Nicole, Morgan, Calvin, Kylie, and Kendall. Fondly remembered by Bogart W. (Isobel) Trumpour of Kingston, Ontario, Margaret Burchett and family, and Henry Banks and family of England, and all her other relatives and many friends. She will be particularly, and most sadly missed, and her memory treasured, by her dear friend ("sister") Ruth Murray. The family especially wishes to express our sincere appreciation to the wonderful personnel at the St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto, including Doctors Varga, Wasserman, Meligrana, and the many nurses and support staff (including therapist Noel Silva), and Joan Sinclair, for their care, compassion, and understanding. Family and friends may call at the Turner & Porter (Yorke) Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street W., at Windemere, east of the Jane Street Subway, from 2 to 4 or 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2002. A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held at All Saint's Church, Kingsway, 2850 Bloor Street W., Toronto, at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2002. Reception to follow in the Church hall; then afterwards, the committal at St. James' Cemetery, 635 Parliament St., Toronto.
