Peacefully at Laurier Manor on Saturday, February 23, 2002 Millie Thomson, daughter of the late Jane Lancaster and George Thomson, passed away in her 98th year. Her basic tenet in life was that we must live with the living and remember the dead. She will be fondly remembered by her children Frank, Jane, Diane, David, Richard and Brian; her grandchildren Geoffrey, Chantal, Sheridith, Christine, Karen, Jennifer, Bryan, Todd, Heather, Dana, Lance, Michael, Christopher, Craig, Jason, Sarah; her great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Daniel, Rylee, Dylan, Tess, Bailey, Tristan, Jake, Clay, Mackenzie, Keelan and baby boy Buck, soon to join her family; and her sister-in-law Yvonne. Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street on Monday, February 25, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary's Church, 7 Fairbairn Avenue. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Institute for the Blind or the Down's Syndrome Association of Canada would be appreciated. The Ottawa Citizen, 25-02-2002
