Peacefully at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Saturday, March 16, 2002. Millie was in her ninety-first year and was a resident of Kitchener. She had been retired from Montreal Locomotive Works after thirty-eight years of service; a member of St. James-Rosemount United Church, Kitchener; Life member of the U.C.W.; member of the Marmo Travel Club and Rockway Centre. She was the daughter of the late William Rennie and Beatrice Barley. Beloved sister of Isabel (Chick) Rennie of Kitchener. Dear cousin of Betty and Walter Romney of Maple Ridge, B.C., Margaret Barden and Harvey Tapp of Montreal, Quebec, David Barden of Seattle, Washington and Bruce Barden of Coquitlam, B.C. and adoptive Aunt of the Walker Girls and their families. Predeceased also by a sister Olive Todd and her husband Tom. Millie's family will receive friends and relatives at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. Waterloo on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral and committal service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rick Burgess officiating. Cremation with interment at Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the St. James-Rosemount United Church, Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy by calling the funeral home at or through "Special thanks to Dr. Denise Wren and nursing staff on the 6th floor of St. Mary's Hospital who tenderly and caringly took care of Millie".
