Peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at the St. Jacques Nursing Home, Embrun, Elsie Diana May of Russell in her 91st year. Long-term employee of the Bank of Nova Scotia in Russell and Ottawa. Dear daughter of the late George and Annie (Beedell) May. Predeceased by her two sisters, Alice (William) Evans and Violet May and by her five brothers, William (Jennie), Wilfred (Doris), Hubert, Arthur (Gladys) and Kenneth May, and by her niece Lois (Fred) Somers. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Eleanor (late Hubert) May and by her nephews, nieces and their children: Donald (Babs) May - Sharon, Lynn, Donald Jr.; Barbara (George) Norton; Betty (James) Kidd - Andrew, Sara; Irvin (Brenda) Sunstrum - Lisa, Angela; Robert May - Debbie, Tracey, Tricia; Ronald (late Patricia) May - Carol, Dawn, Steven; Glen (Shirley) May - Karen, Sandra; George (Roslyn) May - Alysha, Stephanie, Kelly; and Skip (Sheila) May-Brett, Blair, Jarret; as well as by a number of great-great nephews and great-great nieces. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Duncan Funeral Home, 6971 Bank Street (formerly Highway 31, between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Funeral Tuesday to St. Mary's Anglican Church, Russell for Service at 11 a.m. Cremation with Inurnment to take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in the Spring. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. With special thanks to Dr. G. Heymans of Russell for his care and support over many years as well as to the kind and devoted staff of St. Jacques Nursing Home. The Ottawa Citizen, 24-03-2002
