MOTT, Malcolm C. “Joe“ - In loving memory Malcolm C. “Joe“ Mott, 72 years, who passed away on Wednesday, December 10th, 2008 at the SRH - St. Joseph's Health Center. The family announces with sorrow the passing of a beloved father, partner, Poppa, brother and friend Malcolm “Joe“ Clare Mott passed away in the Special Care Unit at St. Joe's Hospital Wednesday night surrounded by friends and family. Joe grew up in Falconbridge as the son of R.C. Mott and Ina Malcolm. Throughout his life he enjoyed the outdoors, gathered friends and developed youth as a Boy Scout leader, Falcona camp counselor and hockey coach. As a surveyor he worked throughout the country experiencing some of the most remote and beautiful regions of Canada. He resettled in Falconbridge with his wife of 20 years Isabelle “Sue“ Kilpatrick (deceased). His last 20 years were spent in loving companionship, traveling and enjoying life with Pat Langley (Langdon). During this time he did his best to help others as a volunteer at the Soup Kitchen with Father Brian Mckee, driving for those in need for the Red Cross of Canada, working with the Sudbury Regional Police, and visiting hospital patients for the Mine Mill Union. Fond memories will remain in the hearts of nieces Marti, Cori and Jana and cousin Pete Miller (Belleville). Loving father of Ken (wife Jody) of Brantford and Chris (wife Leslie) of Manotick. Loving family member to Shawn Langley (wife Rebecca) of Dundas and Devin Langley (wife Lisa) of Sudbury. Cherished “Poppa Joe“ to Abby, Evan, Billy, Darcy, Jamie, Jakob, Noah, Christopher, Andrew, Michael, David and Martha. Dear brother of Mavaia (husband Gerry Ohlsen) of Ottawa and Melinda Mott of Levack. Lifelong friend of Don Cornett (wife Sharon of Onaping). Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Saturday, December 13th, 2008 at 1 pm. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Parklawn Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
