BULMER, Herbert "Wayne" 2008-12-10 Mr. Herbert "Wayne" Bulmer age 68 years, a resident of Thunder Bay passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, December 8, 2008. In his early years Wayne enjoyed building model airplanes and sailboats. He started working for the Port Arthur Shipbuilding Company as a welder, advancing to Welding Foreman where he was well liked and known as "Boomer". He finished his last 10 years at Bombardier until he retired in 2004. Wayne was obsessed with reading and watching movies about WWII. Wayne also enjoyed WWE wrestling- faithfully watching every pay per view each month. Throughout his life anyone who knew him and went to his house to socialize, better be prepared to stay for the long haul, reminicing of old times! He also loved spending summers at camp at Whitefish Lake. After retirement he loved driving around sight seeing, old places of employment, parks and visiting friends. He took great pride in watching his grandsons play hockey. The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Allison, his family physician for many years of care. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 18 years Charlene, son Edward, daughter Sherry, stepchildren: Donald, Jennine, Michele, Grandchildren Cody, Brett, Mitchell, Alexa, Randy and Shawna. Close friends Rick Kontonen and Jerry Legro. He will also be dearly missed by Monique his dog, as well Wayne will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Caroline and Herbert Bulmer. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street with Rev Lloyd Ivany officiating. A reception will be held in the Sargent Family Reception Centre immediately after the service. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Sargent & Son Funeral Home. Should friends desire, donations to the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital Foundation-Cancer Fund would be appreciated. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com
