FALK, Carol Ann 2008-12-17 Carol Ann Falk ("Cash"), age 56, resident of Thunder Bay passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Saturday, December 6th, 2008. Born in Port Arthur on March 27th, 1952, Carol was the first born of three children to her parents Vic and Dorothy Cashaback. Carol spent her childhood in Shuniah Twp., attending McKenzie School and later Lakeview Highschool where she acquired the nickname "Cash". After highschool, Carol graduated from the Port Arthur General Nursing program and began a career as a RN. Cash was soon married and became the loving mother of two daughters and recently and grandmother. Carol loved the outdoors, gardening, music, caring for pets and cooking and baking for friends and family. She loved to have a good time and everyone that was fortunate enough to know her, loved her and enjoyed spending time with her. Everyone felt welcomed in her home (and we were all well fed!). She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Carol will be greatly missed by all. Carol is survived by her husband Henry; her two daughters Wanda (Quentin) and Dorothy; grandson Foster; mother Dorothy Bellis; father Vic Cashaback (Mary); sister Donna Nishamura and brother Bruce Cashaback (Jackie). Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive in Canada and the USA. Carol was predeceased by her stepfather Ted Bellis and grandfathers John O‘Neil and Martin Cashaback. As per Carol‘s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment of the ashes will he held at a later date. Family and friends are welcome to attend a reception in Cash‘s honour in the new year - date to be announced. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Carol‘s memory to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation. A special thanks to the wonderful employees at St. Joseph‘s Hospice Unit.
