CAPOMBASSIS, Dr. Panos. With great sadness, the family announces the death of Panos on October 19, 2005. Sadness made only a little less by our gratitude for his wonderful life. He is survived by his cherished wife Charlotte; his four boys, Michael (Jill), Paul (Emma), Stefan (Maya), Mark (Sian) of whom he was so proud. As the dearly beloved Papou, his grandchildren Jack, Lilly, Ben and Chloe will revere him. He was a dear brother-in-law to Kathleen, Alan, Stewart and Betty and a special uncle to all his nieces and nephews. His looming personality, love of life, generosity of spirit to his family, friends, patients and country were his essence. The family wishes to thank many friends who have supported them during this last, difficult, year. Special thanks to the kindly and supportive staff of the Oncology Unit of the Mt. Sinai Hospital and particular thanks to Dr. David Payne, of Princess Margaret Hospital, for his dedicated care and concern. Friends may call at the Trull "North Toronto" Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge St., Toronto (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave.), on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church (3125 Bayview Ave.) at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mt. Sinai Hospital (600 University Ave., Toronto M5G 1X5), Princess Margaret Hospital (610 University Ave., Toronto, M5G 2M9) or to the Canadian Cancer Society (10 Alcorn Ave., Toronto, M4V 3A9). The world is full of folks, it's true, But there was only one of you. Published in the Montreal Gazette from 10/20/2005 - 10/22/2005
