Elvie E. Nicholson Elvie Edison Nicholson passed away peacefully at The Moncton City Hospital on October 28, 2005 at 90 years of age. He was born in Port Elgin and was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Nicholson, and husband of the late Grace (Allen) Nicholson. Elvie was employed for many years as a Commercial Fisherman and Woodsman. He belonged to the East - Westmorland Seniors Club and had many hobbies and interests, such as trapping, hunting and fishing. Survived by four sons, Larry Nicholson (Sadie) of Bridgewater, NS, Douglas Nicholson (Donna) of Timber River, Edward Nicholson (Jeanne) of Bayside, and Blaine Nicholson (Lois) of Murray Corner; three daughters, Laura Landry (Francis) of Bayside, Lynn Allen (Paul) of Port Elgin and Darla Scott (Gary) of Woodside. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and will be fondly remembered by a special friend, Violet Wood. Predeceased by two sons, Eric and Donald; three sisters, Leona, Marion and Jean; as well as five brothers, Delmer, Harman, Hudson, Levi and Austin. Following cremation, a Graveside Service and Internment will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 11:00 am at Fernwood Cemetery in Port Elgin, followed by a reception at the McGee Complex. Donations to Extra Mural, Red Cross or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements by Dignity Cremation Services (1-888-642-1900). [Times & Transcript]
