Charles Alfred Price On October 29, 2005, Charlie passed away peacefully at Sharbot Lake Seniors Home, at the age of 95. After years of being apart he joins his beloved wife Iva, who predeceased him on August 25, 1954. Dad and Mom were married on October 30, 1930. Dad was born on April 22, 1910 on a farm in Mountain Grove to the late James and Ada Price. He was the youngest of 8 children. Dad attended school in Mountain Grove. He worked as a farmer, truck driver, school bus driver and night watchman, but the most important job to him was being a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Dad was a gentle, caring, witty, easy going man always ready to give a helping hand to anyone. He enjoyed listening to country and gospel music. Dad was an active member of Mountain Grove United Church for many years, serving as an Elder and as Treasurer. He was President of Land O' Lakes Seniors from 1977 to 1993. Dad will be sadly missed by his children; Ron (Elva), Irene Ervin, Norene Young (Elgin), Adabelle Snider (Ellwood), Jack (Frona), Darrell (Doreen), Ivan (Lenore), Gerald (Norma), daughters-in-law Velma and Cleo and grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and sister Eloise. He was predeceased by sons Dale (1988) and Grant (2004), grandson David (2004) and two infant grandsons and by brothers Roger, John, Clare, Herb, Wilfred and sister Gertrude. Rev. Jean Brown conducted the funeral service in the chapel of Goodfellow's Funeral Home, November 2, 2005. Gilbert Whan sang two beautiful hymns and son Jack gave a heart warming eulogy. Jack also read two e-mail messages, one to Grandpa and one to the family from Darrell and Doreen's daughter Cheryl in British Columbia. With six grandsons as pallbearers and six as honorary pallbearers, Dad was laid to rest beside Mom in Mountain Grove Cemetery. Forever loved and remembered. - 11/19/2005 - ID7435599 Clipboard | E-mail to a friend
