Mr. Kim Ferdinand Krueger October 27, 1956 - December 13, 2008 KRUEGER, Kim Ferdinand It is with deep sorrow and sadness that the family announces the passing of Mr. Kim Krueger, loving husband, step dad, son, brother and friend, on Saturday, December 13th, 2008, following a brief but courageous battle with leukemia at the age of 52 years young. Kim was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Kim worked as a trade machinist and quickly moved into his role as an Operations Manager in the field of Mining. Kim’s career eventually led him to Alco Industrial, where he was Operations Manager for the west end division. He had an enormous passion for life, which included the outdoors, camping, fishing, golfing and hunting with his dad. Kim was an avid reader, a history buff and he enjoyed watching movies. Kim is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Sheila; stepchildren, Ryan and Leah; parents, Victor and Emmy Krueger; sister, Dorothy (John) Cronk; mother-in-law, Joyce Haniak, as well as many relatives, friends and co-workers. He is predeceased by his father-in-law, Matt Haniak. A Celebration of Kim's Life will be held on Saturday, December 20th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232 in Sherwood Park, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kim may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. Kim was a gift from God to his family and friends, was loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
