Mr. William Gray Malloy November 7, 1930 - December 15, 2008 It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of William G. Malloy at the age of 78 on December 15, 2008 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Beloved husband of 48 1/2 years to Elizabeth (Betty) Malloy (nee McLauchlan) and cherished father of William Gary Wilson Malloy. Bill was born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 7, 1930 to William Malloy Sr. (1947) and Margaret Simpson Brown (1931). Beloved step-son of Mary Wilson Malloy (1980). Beloved brother of Helen Malloy McEwan (2000) of Stirling, Scotland. Much loved "Uncle Bill" to Marion, Margaret, Elize and Ruth McEwan, all of Scotland; the Carter family of Michigan and the McGuire family of Cleveland. Special cousin of Daniel Brian Malloy and wife Morag of Kames, Scotland; Pat and Eual Carter of Shelby Township, Michigan; and Jim and Susan McAree of Windsor. Cherished friend of Jeannie Brown of Windsor. Best friend of Nevis. Bill grew up in the town of Falkirk and the village of Haggs in Stirlingshire. After R.A.F. service in 1949-1951 in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore, Bill worked as a commercial banker with the National Bank of India in Kampala, Uganda; the Swiss Bank Corporation in London, England; and upon emigration to Windsor in 1964 was an accountant for Central Chrysler Plymouth Ltd. Bill's gentle nature, friendly words and sense of humour endeared him to all. Family and friends are requested to gather at Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at St. John Vianney Church, 385 Dieppe Street from 11:30 a.m. until Mass of the Resurrection at 12:00 p.m. Fr. Thom Blondin celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name for Transition to Betterness would be greatly appreciated by the family. Memories may be shared at www.marcottetecumseh.ca I'm no awa' tae bide awa' I'll aye come back and see ye.
