HEATH, Robert Leonard (Bob) - 1921- 2008 - The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Grand River Hospital in Kitchener-Waterloo on Monday, December 1, 2008 after a short battle with cancer. Bob is survived by his wife Aggie of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by his son Doug (Marilyn) of Timmins and his grandchildren Darren and Alana. Also survived by his sister Betty of Atikokan, Ontario. Bob will be missed by his step- families: Scott (Liane) Jones, and Lori (Mark) Mitchell and their children, all of Waterloo. Bob was predeceased by his first wife of 54 years, Jean (nee Barr), who passed away in November 2000. Also predeceased by his parents Roy and Ruby Heath of Timmins, his brother Jim Heath of Deep River and his sisters Jean Mullen and Dorothy Heath of Timmins. A long-time resident of Schumacher and Timmins, Robert taught at Timmins High and Vocational School for 31 years where he touched many lives and thoroughly enjoyed his coaching and driver instruction. Lt.- Colonel Heath was Commander or 2 IC of several army cadet camps in Ontario. He served in the air force in World War II. An avid fisherman, Bob loved the outdoors. He became proficient in wood working, loved to travel, played bridge and had many interests. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at noon at the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo, Ontario. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
