Mr. Thomas Allan Harris, husband of Clare Harris, of 571 Warwick Road NB, passed away Tuesday evening September 9, 2008, at his late residence, at the age of 84. Born in Boom Road, NB, he was the son of the late Thomas & Sarah (Mahoney) Harris. He was a truck driver. He was member of St Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Island View Seniors Citizens and Holy Name Society of St. Thomas Church, Red Bank. Besides his wife Clare he is survived by seven daughters; Marilyn Baisley (Gyles) of Troutbrook; Wendy Jardine (Frank) of Warwick; Susan Silliker (Edwin) of South Esk; Jill Innes (Daryl) of Russellville; Loralei Murchison (Bob) of Knoxford; Jennifer Kenny (Adam) of Warwick; Clarissa Harris of Miramichi; two sons; Peter (Ruth) of Cassilis; John (Barbie) of Warwick; five sisters; Jacqueline Daley of Fredericton; Mary Thornton of Montreal; Ada Harris of Kitchener ON; Helen Gillis of Napan; Shirley Donovan of Miramichi; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one son Cletus, one daughter Joanne, three sisters; Yvonne Diamond, Bernadette Campbell & Judy Harris; three brothers; Pat, Bobby & Paul Harris. Mr. Thomas Allan Harris rested at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 and Friday 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday September 13, 2008, at 11 a.m. from St Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, with Father Dan Melanson officiating, assisted by Father Vincent Donovan and Father Tom Fowler. Altar servers were Dayne Kenny (grandson), Margaret Hogan and Carmel Forsythe. Intercessions were by granddaughter Kirbie Silliker. Organist Lynn Manderson led soloist Marilyn Baisley (daughter) with "I Have Called You", "Blessed Are They" and "We Walk By Faith". Guitarist Gyles Baisley led soloist Marilyn Baisley with "Follow Me To The Sea" and "Father Of Peace". A reading was read by Judy Diamond (niece) and Helen Gillis (sister). A eulogy was given by his daughter Loralei Murchison. A special tribute was given by Ada Harris (sister). Burial followed in St. James Roman Catholic Cemetery, Sevogle. At the request of the family donations to NB Diabetic Association, NB Extra Mural Program, or a memorial of ones choice would be appreciated. Active Pallbearers were: Gyles Baisley, Frankie Jardine, Edwin Silliker, Adam Kenny, Bob Murchison and Daryl Innes. Honorary Pallbearers were: Byron Warren, Brian Curtis, Fred Estey, Billy Sherrard, Auda Chaisson, John Lebans, Reg Lebans, Kevin Daley, Jeffrey Gillis, Jeremy Donovan, Paul Diamond, Jerry Diamond, David Saunders, Kevin Campbell, Sandy Thornton, Allen Gillis, Bernard Donovan, Richard Diamond, Mike McCarthy. An honor guard was formed by grandsons: Zachary Baisley, Ethan Baisley, Jacob Baisley, Evan Jardine, Jadon Harris, Luke Harris, Shea Harris, Colin Silliker, Jonathan Harris and Dayne Kenny.
