ANNE MARY OBRADOVICH OBRADOVICH - It is with great sadness that the family of Anne Obradovich (nee Krcel) announce her passing at the Kirkland Lake & District Hospital on April 9, 2004. Anne was born in Shumacher October 31, 1932. Predeceased by her loving husband Mike, Anne is survived by her brothers Karlo (Chuck) of Porcupine and Nick (Elsie) of Richmond Hill and her sons Mark (Lynne Patterson) of Toronto, Ed (Jocelyn) and Tom (Kathy) of Kirkland Lake and Mickey (Laurie McBean) of Udora. Baba will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Nicholas, Lauren, Alex, Reid and Matthew. Throughout her life Anne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and an active participant in her community. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League, the Croatian Fraternal Union, Beta Sigma Phi, the Youth Sports Group and the Kirkland & District Hospital Auxiliary as well as a volunteer for many other organizations. Not only did Anne participate in groups, she did much more individually. If there were a sick or elderly person to visit, a cake (or perhaps a strudel) to bake, a friend or even a stranger in need, one could always count on Anne. She will be sadly missed by her family and her many friends. The Obradovich family will receive family and friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Monday, April 12, 2004 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Name Parish on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Scully officiating. Donations in Anne’s memory can be made to the Kirkland & District Hospital (145 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON., P2N 3P4) in lieu of Flowers. The family wishes to thank the 4th Floor nursing staff at the Kirkland & District Hospital as well as Dr. Henderson for the excellent care Anne received.
