LAJEUNESSE , YVETTE 1933-2004 Yvette Lajeunesse, after a courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side, slipped away at the Timmins & District Hospital on Friday, July 9, 2004 at the age of 70 years. Loving mother of Pierrette Plant of Severn Bridge, Ontario. Dear sister of Gerry (Rejeanne) Genereux of Belleville, Gloria (Ben) Mask of Timmins, Irene (Brones) Bielaskie of South Porcupine, Rene (Karen) Genereux of Bancroft, Robert (Joyce) Genereux of Toronto, Vivian (Garry) Hodge of Dryden, Joanne (Al) Belverede of Brampton. She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends. Predeceased by her parents Oscar and Victoria Genereux (1975) and a brother Gerald (1949). Yvette was a very special women. She was strong, independent, honest and had a sense of humour that brought a smile to everyone’s face. She was an avid outdoors person, naturalist, loved her crafts and special recipes. Yvette volunteered her time at the Lord’s Kitchen, at the Golden Manor and helped anyone in need. She was an inspiration to many who knew her and will be sadly missed. The family would like to express a word of thanks to the nurses and staff at the Timmins & District Hospital as well as the family members; Paulie, Barbie, Gloria, Irene, Alice, David and Diane who were there for support. As per her request, cremation will take place.
