Mary Adele Emma Barry MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Mary Adele Emma Barry of Barry Lane, Miramichi City, wife of the late Richard Barry, occured August 6, 2006 at the Region 7 Hospital, Miramichi, NB, at the age of 99 years. Emma Barry was born April 9th, 1907 in Waterford P.E.I., the daughter of the late Narcisse and Mary Eleanor (Perry) Myers. Emma was the last member of her immediate family. She was a faithful member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, Chatham, Miramichi City, NB. She was an ardent bingo player and another enjoyment was a weekly card game with a small group of friends. Emma was a story teller and her gift brought laughs and enjoyment to many listeners young and old. Emma Barry is survived by fourteen of her sixteen children, eight sons, Jack (Lillian) Barry, Joseph Barry, Ronald (Paula) Barry, Terrance Barry, Gregory Barry, Brent (Lila) Barry all of the Miramichi City, Richard (Norma) Barry of Millerton, NB, and Arthur (Suzanne) Barry of Ontario; six daughters, Doris (Jerry) Donahue, Adele (Tom) Wright, Mary Barry, Linda Barry, Elizabeth Kingston of Trout Brook, NB and Judy (Bob) MacKenzie of Napan, NB; and daughter-in-law, Joan Barry all of the Miramichi, NB. She is also survived by 54 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Besides her husband Emma was predeceased by two sons, Robert Barry and Tom Barry; a brother, Calais Myers; and sisters, Clara Cobham and recently deceased Dora Kenny; also daughter-in-law, Betty (Roy) Barry; and son-in-law, Bernard Kingston. The family will receive relatives and friends at Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11am from St Michael's the Archangel Basilica with Fr. John Fraser officiating. Interment will be in St Michael's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Autism Society or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
