
PARLEE, PEARL E. - After a courageous battle with cancer, Pearl has gone home to be with the Lord. At her residence, St John and St. Stephen Nursing Home on August 7, 2006. Pearl Etta Parlee, formerly of Brunswick Dr., Saint John, wife of the late Otty Parlee. Born in Havelock, N.B. she was the daughter of the late James and Melvina (Dobson) Melvin. Pearl was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and a Life Member of the Women's Missionary Society. She was employed with McAvity's for 25 years, retiring in 1976. She is survived by four sons; Otty Jr. (Agnes), Frank E., Kenneth W. (Lorraine), Douglas A. (Margaret); three daughters, Shirley Rogers, Nancy King (Thomas), Mary Lou Duke (Danny) all of Saint John; one brother, Ralph Melvin of London, ON; three sisters, Flora Keith (Ansley) of Saint John, Minnie Rouse of (Petitcodiac) and Ethel Bulger of Sussex; 27 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one son-in-law, Donald Rogers; one daughter-in-law, Florence Parlee; one grandson, Micheal Parlee; six brothers, Ervin, Herb, Stanford, Jim, Harold and John. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Funeral service will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church Haymarket Square on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 2 pm. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Wednesday, August 9., 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
