
LEGERE, ALICE GENEVIEVE - Surrounded by family passed away at the White Rapids Manor in Fredericton Junction on August 9, 2006. Alice was the widow of the late George A. Legere. Born in Chipman NB. a daughter of the late Mary-Ellen Lucas and the late Frank McGinley of Chipman, NB. She raised her family in Port Elgin NB and West Saint John. Alice had a strong love for her family, music and enjoyed the company of many friends over the years. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Legere of Saint John; three sons, Jim (Margo) of Musquodoboit Harbor, Dale (Shirley) of Saint John and Dave (Vi) of Kingston Peninsula; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Sisters, Catherine McGinley, Pauline Allain of Fredericton and one brother, Ronald of Ontario as well as several nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her sisters, Helen O'leary, Evelyn McGinley, Magaret Hughes, Olive Miller and a brother, Donald McGinley. Resting at Castle Funeral Homes "Fallsview" 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John (634-1701) with visitation on Friday August 11, 2006 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 10:00 AM from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Internment in St. Joseph Cemetery followed by a reception in the Fallsview Family Reception Center. Memorial donations in memory of Alice may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the charity of the donor's choice. [The Telegraph-Journal]
