STEWART, Alan Donald - Al was born in Toronto and was the eldest son of the late John Cecil and Donalda (Hogan) Stewart and brother of Douglas (predeceased). Al started working at Gliddens Paint Ltd. in 1940. He then went to serve his country in Italy and Holland during World War II and then returned to Gliddens until his retirement. His love for the outdoors brought him to Haliburton where he hunted and fished with his friends. Al will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Trudy, by nieces and nephew; Katie (Earl) Nicholson, Don Stewart (Heather), Jennifer Stewart (Craig), and great uncle to Jill and Jessica Nicholson. A Private Graveside Committal Service was held at the York Cemetery, Toronto on Monday, August 21, 2006.
