MADISON, Eva Mary Lucchesi - age 84, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2006, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Eva was born on April 1, 1922, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, to parents Amadeo and Teresa (Siasi) Simonini. She grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and came to the United States as a warbride after marrying Carlo Lucchesi on September 11, 1948. After 34 years of marriage, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1982. She lived in Rhode Island, Wisconsin and Arizona throughout her life. While a hard worker both in and out of her home, she always embraced life and enjoyed laughter. She loved to embroider and travel, enjoyed playing cards and bingo and was a great cook. She is survived by her three daughters: Sandra (John) Englesby of Madison, Beverly (Robert) King of Glendale, AZ, and Janice Lucchesi of Madison; grandchildren: Carrie (Michael) Hanson, Lee (special friend Natalie Phillips) Eslyn, Brian (Carrie) King, and Ashlee (fiancé Gary Kisicki) King; and great grandchildren, Maxwell and Ethan Hanson. She is further survived by her loving brother, Reno (Helen) Simonini of Madison; sister, Rena Stanghetta of Sault Ste. Marie; her “adopted family“ of the Petits: Linda, Dave, Phil Jeannae (G.J.), and Paul; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her siblings: Lino, Nora Tombari, Lori, Elva Zuccato, and Aldo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2006, at ST. MARIA GORETTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5313 Flad Ave, Madison, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oakwood Village, 6201 Mineral Point Road, Madison, WI 53705, or HospiceCare, Inc., 5395 East Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hebron Oaks at Oakwood Village for their many years of loving care and the staff of the HospiceCare Inc. for their special care. 10306379 Tuesday, August 22, 2006
