DOWDING, John - born 28th of September 1939, son of Kenneth Paul and Ellen Mary Perren. John was a beloved Husband to Jennifer Mary and a wonderful father to Mark, Sarah and Robert Dowding. Grandfather to James, Emily, Jenny, Laura , Jillian, Elliot, Zachary and baby Isaac. John Dowding emigrated from England to Canada with his family in 1973 where he pursued a career in the food processing industry. Starting in Brockville, and working for Cow and Gate, he then moved to Woodstock and Cambridge working for Borden's, and Hostess Frito Lay. He retired from Hostess/Frito-Lay on September 28, 2004. John had been living with Cancer for the past four years, and passed away on August 20th at 4.55pm. John will be remembered by family and friends for his generous spirit and loving nature. There will be a memorial service held at Heartlake Baptist Church in Brampton located at 10245 Kennedy Road north at 2 pm on Friday August the 25th. Although flowers would be greatly appreciated, Dad's wishes were that a gift be given to World Vision in place of the flowers.
