WIEBE, Hermann - June 18, 1923-July 29, 2006. At his home in Defiance, Ohio, U.S.A. It is with great sadness we announce the death of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Hermann Wiebe, after a short illness with cancer. Hermann lived in St. Catharines from 1948-1965. Together with his wife Elizabeth, they owned and operated the Blue Bell Beauty Salon. He furthered his education and in 1965 the family moved to Defiance Ohio. Hermann took a teaching position as a Professor at Defiance College. Here he taught languages & humanities. He retired in 1990. Hermann is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Funk) Wiebe and two children, Harry & Marcia Wiebe and Edith and Mark Hickman. Also survived by grandsons Alexander & Thomas Wiebe and his brother Henry & Margo Wiebe of St. Catharines. Funeral services were held at St. John United Church of Christ, Defiance Ohio on Tuesday Aug. 1, 2006. 10280005
