WHEATLEY, Douglas Ernest - Passed away at St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday August 9, 2006. Predeceased by dear parents Ethel and Ernest Wheatley and sister Nancy. Beloved husband of Joan (Beedling) and devoted and dearly loved father of Cynthia Wheatley (George) of Etobicoke, and Linda Wheatley-Irving (Tom) of Chicago, Ill. Doug served with the 162 Squadron, R.C.A.F. in Iceland during World War Two. He was employed at Thompson Products (T.R.W.), retiring in 1984 after 43 years, and then part time at the Welland Vale Campus of Niagara College from 1985 to 1996. Doug was a member of St. Columba Anglican Church and T.R.W. Retirees. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Monday, August the 14th at St. Columba Anglican Church.
