MUILEBOOM, Albert – Peacefully in his 80th year at his home in Vineland , Ontario Monday August 28, 2006. Born in Kalverdyk, The Netherlands June 25, 1927. Predeceased by his wife Lambertha (Bep) Hendrika Maria (1992), his grandson Micah Jones of Port Colborne (2002), sister Cornelia Hink, brothers Kees and Petrus of The Netherlands, Fransicus and Johannes from Niagara Falls. Survived by his children Peter (Robin) of Port Colborne, John (Penny) of Marathon, Ontario, Margaret Jones of Port Colborne, Jim (Janice) of Dundas, Irene Gibbs of Port Colborne, Michael (Lori) of Ridgeway and grandchildren Hunter, Taylor, Jade, Cali, Jill, Dallas (Dana), Jessica, Ashley, Emily, Paige, Hannah, Zoe and his great granddaughter Amelia Labonte Jones. Also survived by his siblings Margaret van Roode of Paisley, Ontario, Theresa Vreeker of Frankford, Ontario, Jannie (Cornelis) Burger, Maria (Sam) Kruijer, Gerardus (Cornelia), Hendricus (Anthonia) all of The Netherlands, Theodore (Angeuna) of New Zealand and sisters-in-law Mary (Vic Cassar) of Port Colborne and Willy of Niagara Falls. Also survived by his wife Betsy Lamers (nee deLaat) and her children Michael (Suzanne) of St. Catharines, Mary Anne (Alain) of Ottawa, Rick (Maryke) of Grimsby, Gary of Ottawa, Brian (Cindy) of Beamsville, Christine (Jason) of Smithville and her grandchildren Matthew, Patricia, Stephen, Philippe, Daniel, Jessica, Thomas, Mark, Nicole, Jacob and Serafina and many in- laws. He served in the Royal Dutch Navy for 6 years and 3 months as a radio operator and then immigrated to Canada in 1952 with his wife Lambertha (Bep). He worked for Atlas Steel in Welland as a maintenance electrician for 10 years and built, owned and operated Muileboom Greenhouses with his wife Lambertha (Bep) from 1964 to 1994 growing flowers, tomatoes and cucumbers. He will be greatly missed by all. We love you Dad. Cremation has taken place. The Muileboom family will receive friends at the PORT COLBORNE CHAPEL of the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMES 135 Clarence St. on Friday from 2- 4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Therese of Lisieux Roman Catholic Church with Father Bill Derousie officiating on Saturday September 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment of Ashes to take place at a later date.
