
DYKENS, MAIDA ALICE - Maida Alice Dykens, of George Street, passed away at her residence on Saturday, August 19, 2006. Born in Charlottetown, PEI, she was the daughter of Mary Edna (Gallant) MacLean and the late Gerald MacLean, and wife of the late Lawrence Dykens. Maida worked at Smitty's Pub for several years and at the SJRH (Housekeeping Department) from 1989-2000. She enjoyed playing cards and loved making Paper Tole Crafts. Survived by one son, Terry Dykens (Wendy) of Halifax; two daughters, Kelly Crowe (Terry) and Shannon Piccott (Chris) all of Saint John; two brothers, Lorne MacLean (Chris) of Ontario and Dook MacLean (Shirley) of PEI; as well as one sister, Zelda Rafuse of PEI; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held in Cavanagh's Chapel on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 1pm, followed by internment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to A.W.
