
Ronald "Alan" Mills CANNING / KENTVILLE, NS - Ronald "Alan" Mills, 56, of Canning, Kings County, Nova Scotia, passed away suddenly at home. Born in Shediac Cape, New Brunswick, he was a son of the late Ronald and Eula (Welling) Mills. He was most recently employed as a flagger with LaFarge Canada. He was formerly an active member and Past King Lion of the Canning Lions Club. Alan was an avid bowler, and shared his interest in this sport with his family. He is survived by his wife, the former Norma "Catherine" Wagner, Canning; two sons, Thomas, Wilmot; Colin, at home; a sister, Margaret (Douglas) Nickerson, Wolfville, Nova Scotia; two brothers, Douglas, Wolfville; Sandy (Carole), Hantsport, Nova Scotia; two nieces, Jennifer (Bill) Rowter, Liverpool, Nova Scotia; Andrea Nickerson, Wolfville; several cousins and extended family members in New Brunswick. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2006 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Nova Scotia. A funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2006 in St. Martin's in the Woods Anglican Church, Shediac Cape, Hugh Bateman officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
