Joseph (Joe) Tataryn It is with deep sadness and regret the family of Joseph Tataryn announces the passing on Sunday August 20, 2006 of our Father and Grandfather. Joe, the son of Anton and Sophie Tataryn, was born in Poland Sept 29, 1929 emigrating at the age of 10 with his mother to join his father, who had emigrated before them, in Canada. Joe worked at, and retired from, East-West Packers for over 40 years. His greatest passion was training and racing horses until his illness stopped him from entering the gates of Assiniboia Downs Racetrack. He will be missed by his sons, Will (Charlotte), Ron (Cynthia); his only grandchild, Ainslee; his brother-in-law, Randy (Cathy) Yellowaga; mother-in-law, Mary Yellowaga (from Roblin Manitoba); and his two favorite Shih Tzu dogs, (Pups) as he called them, Gizmo and Jo-ee. He was predeceased by his devoted and beloved wife, Anne on December 16, 1997. Joe, over the course of his life, made many friends and will be missed by all who knew him. Special thanks go out to all the staff at Misericordia Hospital and to his home, until his passing, Kin Place in Oakbank for all their care; and especially your patience with him was greatly appreciated. At his request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Dad, Grandpa, you were a special person with a heart of gold we will miss you and think of you always.
