GATES, AUDREY BERYL - Audrey Beryl Gates passed away on Friday, August 25, 2006 at the Orchard View Nursing Home in Gagetown. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Gladys and Arthur Hamilton. Audrey spent most of her life in Martinon and was a member of St. Giles United Church. She worked for NB Tel for 37 years. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Octavius "Tave" Gates, Gagetown; one brother, Douglas Hamilton (Margaret), Saint John; one sister, Doris Cudmore (Willard), Saint John; one sister-in-law, Irene Hamilton, Saint John; Three nephews and their families, Ian Hamilton, Saint John; Glen Hamilton (Clare), Brooklyn, NY; Ross Hamilton (Gillian), Toronto, ON; and two grand-nephews, Spencer and Max Hamilton, Brooklyn, NY. Audrey was predeceased by her brother Lloyd C. Hamilton. By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment at Ocean View Cemetery will take place at a later date.
