
THORNE, Estelle At The Gary Armstrong Centre, Ottawa, Ontario on July 28th, 2006 Estelle Marie Thorne (nee Ryan) was called into the perpetual light of the Lord that she loved. Born on January 4th, 1913 in the village of Torbay, Newfoundland, she was predeceased by her husband Philip and daughter Jane. While we celebrate her life, we are profoundly grieved at her passing and will forever treasure her dear memory in our hearts. Joined as family and bound in sorrow, we are daughter Mary (Thorne) Albota and husband Fredrick of Ottawa, ON; son Philip Thorne and wife Shirley (O'Neill) of St. John's, NL; son Austin Thorne and wife The Hon. Sheila Copps of Ottawa, ON; son James Thorne and wife Maureen (Walsh) of St. John's, NL; Grandchildren: Kierrin (Albota) Thorne and husband Robert Thorne of Burlington, ON; Jacqueline (Thorne) Wingreen and husband Thomas Wingreen; Dr. Susan Thorne and Dr. John Clark; Steven Thorne; Danelle Copps; Jillian Thorne, all of Ottawa, ON; Jennifer Thorne; Philip Thorne; Joseph Thorne and Elizabeth Thorne all of St. John's, NL. Great-grandmother to: Sam and Graeme Edmondson of Burlington, ON; Sarah and Michael Wingreen; Caroline and Natalie Clark, all of Ottawa, ON. Nephew: James Long and wife Dorothy (Gray) of St. John's, NL and niece Dolores (Hayes) Dunphy and husband Joseph of Boston, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on August 4th at 3 p.m. at St Brigid's Church on Murray Street, Ottawa, ON. A Visitation and Interment will be held at a later date in Torbay, NL.
