
BURKE, Frederick Johnson. At the age of eighty-five, joined the long list of master carpenters in heaven, on Saturday, August 19, 2006, (at Lasalle Hospital), after a courageous battle with Alzheimers. Fred was a Navy Vet of WWll stationed along the east coast and then worked for the City of Westmount as an electrician until his retirement. He will be greatly missed by Edna (Teddy to all) his wife and soul mate for sixty-one years, his son Ron (the late Carolyn), daughter Jan Spry (John) and grandchildren Dave, Allison, Nick and Angela. He is also remembered by Peg and Ken Robertson and family of Toronto, as well as friends and long time neighbours. Our heartfelt thanks to the doctors and compassionate nursing team of 1 E. Visitation will take place at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex (1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont (514-279-6540) on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, beginning at 11 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of Canada, the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or the MS Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
