HATCHER, Dorothy 1909-2006 Peacefully with her family by her side at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 21, 2006. Dorothy Edith Hatcher in her 98th year. She was a daughter of the late Elsie and Maurice Spidell of Halifax, NS. Dorothy was adored by her late husband of 53 years, John Hatcher. Cherished mother of Carol Bell and Sandra Smith (Lyle). Special Nanny of Lisa Bell, Sonya Smith (Todd) and Shane Bell, and Great-Nanny of Tyla, Jumal, Stephanie, Alexandra, Austin, Alayah, and Olivia. Dorothy's sisters Margaret Nash, Ellen Smith, Marion Tizard, Shirley Bouchard and brothers Jack, Bob, and Doug, all of Nova Scotia, and Maurice of California will all feel her loss. Predeceased by her sister Winnie Hogan and brother Wilbert Spidell. Dorothy was a delightful person. She had a deep passion for life and humanity and her positive outlook was admired by all who knew her.
