
MACKAY, Douglas Mowat. 1919-2006. Beloved husband of Dorothy, WWII RCAF pilot, a retired vice-president of Cockfield Brown Advertising, president of Mackay Advertising, a long-standing member of the Montreal West United Church, the Kanawaki Golf Club and the Montreal West Curling Club, died peacefully of a heart-related illness, surrounded by his family at St. Mary's Hospital. He was 87. The son of Alexander Mackay and Barbara Scott, he leaves his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Baxter, his children Bruce (Laurie), Marion, Ross (Zorica); his grandchildren Angus (Josee); Adam, Josephine (Pascal), Mathew and Samantha (Brian); his step-grandchildren Kaitlyn (John), Shawn and Sam; his great-grandchildren, Cedric and Dax. He was a favourite uncle to many nephews and nieces. He is deeply loved and sorely missed. A memorial service will be held at Montreal West United Church, corner of Curzon and Westminster at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 31st.
