
ROY, Aurèl (1920-2006) – The family announces with sorrow his death, peacefully in his sleep, at home, Monday, May 8, 2006 at the age of 85 years. Mr. Roy was a resident of Wahnapitae and was formerly of Warren. A war veteran who served in WWII, Aurèl flew spitfires for the 403rd squadron. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 179, Capreol. Husband of the late Marion Roy (née Rouse). Loving father of Brian (Annette) of Toronto and Terry (Pat) of Peterborough. Cherished grandfather (papa) of Christopher (Tabitha) of Capreol, Robert of Vancouver, B.C., Jason (Jane) of Cambridge, Patrick of Kamloops, B.C. and Monique of Toronto. Adored great-grandfather of Dana, Brandon of Capreol, Noak of Vancouver and Christina and Zachery of Cambridge. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and many friends. The family will receive friends at the THEORET- BOURGEOIS CENTRE, 17 Rutland St. Warren, Saturday and Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held, Monday, May 15, 2006 at 11 a.m. in St Thomas Church, Warren. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, to the Diabetes Association or the Epilepsy Associate would be appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 179, Capreol, will assemble for a tribute to Mr. Roy, Saturday, at 2 :30 p.m., at the Theoret-Bourgeois Centre, Warren.
