KROEGER Frieda Frieda Kroeger (nee Epp) passed away in the early morning hours of May 13, 2006. Frieda was born March 9, 1919 to Gerhart and Justina Epp in Rosthern, SK. After studying education in Saskatoon, Frieda became a teacher in Rosthern and the surrounding areas for many years. She was first married to Jacob Janzen and together they had four children, Eugene, Lydia, Laura and Karen. After thirty-seven years of marriage her husband Jacob died of cancer in 1982. In 1985 she married John Kroeger of Calgary, who was also a widower with four children from his previous marriage. This marriage lasted over twenty years; in this time Frieda and John served God faithfully in Europe and traveled extensively. In 2001, Frieda became ill with Parkinson's Disease and her body began to deteriorate. For the past year, Frieda received care at the Beverly-Glenmore Care Centre (for whom the family is very thankful), until just recently, when after several minor strokes, Frieda resigned her soul to be with her heavenly Father. Left behind to mourn the loss and celebrate her life are her four children, her husband John, and many family and friends who simply adored Frieda's gentle and loving spirit.
