SHERMAN Samuel Samuel Sherman, beloved husband of Ruby Sherman of Calgary, was called home to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the age of 84 years. Sam was born in Burstall, Saskatchewan on April 12, 1922 to Mary and John Schierman. Besides his loving wife Ruby, Sam is survived by his son Gerald (Carol) Sherman and grandchildren, Joel, Danny, Joanna, Rachel and Matthew of Kanata, Ontario; and daughter Sharon Sherman of Edmonton, Alberta. He also leaves to mourn, his brother John; sisters, Pauline, Lillian (Joe), Freda (Charlie), Lenore (Eric); sister-in-law Ruby and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by two infant sisters, his parents and brothers, Dave and Albert. In his sixty-one years of pastoral, hospital and senior ministries, he served at Neudorf EUB, Warner EUB, Edmonton Richmond Park, Little Plume EUB, Didsbury Zion, Carstairs Bethel and Calgary Centre Street. He earned his Bachelor of Laws and Master of Arts in Theology degrees and taught at Regina Bible Institute and Hillcrest Christian College. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Peter Lougheed Hospital and the staff of Calgary Centre Street Church for their kindness and support.
