ANDERSON Knut Knut Anderson, beloved husband of Thelma Anderson, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital surrounded by family on May 17, 2006 at the age of 79 years. Besides his loving wife Thelma, Knut is lovingly remembered by Lynne (Brian) Potts and granddaughter Melissa Potts; Dale (Cathy) Anderson and grandsons, Jordan and Kristopher; and two brothers, Eric of Nelson, B.C. and Ivar of Calgary. He is predeceased by his son Raymond (1974). Knut was born in Kaslo, B.C. and moved to Riondel, B.C. where he received his elementary education. At thirteen years, Knut and his family moved to Nelson, B.C. where he finished his schooling. He joined the Navy at sixteen years and served two years during World War II. After the war, Knut returned to Nelson where he met Thelma. They later married in Calgary in 1953. He worked various jobs until joining the Calgary Police Service in 1956. After retiring from the police service, Knut worked for the Commissionaires for eight years. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Visitation at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Monday, May 22, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Foster's Garden Chapel, on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association, No. 105, 7500 Macleod Trail S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 0L9.
