
EVANS Lilian Lilian Evans passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre on May 19, 2006, at the age of 92 years. Lilian is lovingly remembered by her son Peter (Bonita) Bell of Calgary, Rae (Frank) Brett of London, England. Grandchildren, Christopher (Rae) Bell of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Erinn (Chad) Bell-Sehn of Airdrie, Alberta. Great-grandchildren, Alex Bell, Matthew Bell and Garyth Sehn. Lilian was predeceased by her husbands, Alvin Bell in 1944, and Clifford Evans in 1968. Lilian was born and raised in England. During World War II Lilian worked in a munitions factory and met a Canadian Soldier Alvin Bell whom she married. After Alvin was killed in action, Lilian moved to Manitoba to live with Alvin's family. In 1951 Lilian married Clifford Evans. They resided in Manitoba. After Clifford passed away Lilian moved to Calgary where she resided until her passing. Lilian made many friends in Calgary, where she was a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer with the Kerby Centre and Colonel Belcher. At Lilian's request no formal funeral service will be held. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Kerby Centre at 1133 - 7 Avenue, S.W. Calgary, Alberta T2P 1B2.
