LYONS Sharon Lynn A Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother Sharon Lyons passed away peacefully on May 31, 2006 at the age of 57 years, after fighting a courageous six year battle with cancer. She will be forever missed by her loving husband Don; her children Dean MacPherson and Candice (Bob) Elmes; her much loved grandchildren, Meagan MacPherson-Elmes, Brandon and Chelsea Elmes; her father Frank O'Connor; her loving sisters, Sandra (Bill) Townsend and Brenda O'Connor; her brother David (Angie) O'Connor; mother-in-law Zelda Lyons; brothers-in-law, Dave and Phil; sisters-in-law, Joanne and Jeanette; niece Amber; nephews, Scott and Darcy; as well as numerous relatives in Nova Scotia and many special friends here in Calgary. Sharon was predeceased by her mother Ruth O'Connor. Sharon enjoyed gardening and had a real appreciation for plants and flowers.She loved travel and always made Christmas and birthday celebrations very special, but most of all Sharon loved being a grandmother. Funeral Service will be held at Southwood United Church (10690 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, June 5, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
