RICHER, Emile Hector - In loving memory of Emile Hector Richer, 60 years, who passed away suddenly Saturday, June 3rd, 2006 at the SRH - St. Joseph's Health Center. Beloved husband of Murielle (nee Labbe) Richer of Hanmer. Loving father of Richard (wife Debbie) and Aimee (friend Steve) of Hanmer. Dear son of Emile Sr. of Espanola and the late Ann-Margaret (nee Guay) Richer. Cherished grandfather of Kobe and Noah. Dear brother of Walter (wife Patsy) of Elliot Lake, Alex (wife Charmaine) of Webbwood, Yvonne Hicks (husband Mel) of Sault Ste. Marie, Emily Richer of Toronto, Elan Slingsby (husband Paul) of Barrie and Elizabeth Gilchrist (husband Don) of Concord, Ont.. Predeceased by his brothers Leonard (wife Wendy of Elliot Lake), Ernie (wife Marlene) of Elliot Lake and Roland. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Emile was a loving family man who took great pride and joy in his children and especially his two grandsons whom he adored. He was affectionately known as “Mellow“ by his brothers and sisters and “Big Guy“ by the patrons of the Cortina Restaurant where he and Murielle regularly went for coffee. He enjoyed a good joke and loved to tease those around him. Emile was looking forward to retiring at the end of June from his position as lift station attendant with the City of Greater Sudbury after 34 years of loyal service and spending more time with wife and best friend Murielle. He really enjoyed his job and appreciated the camaraderie of his co-workers. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr. Hanmer, Wednesday, June 7th, 2006 at 11 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Prayers at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
