BODNARUK Mary Mary Bodnaruk of Calgary passed away peacefully June 5, 2006 at the age of 99 years. Mary was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother who will be lovingly missed by all. Born in Austria, March 10, 1907, Mary moved with her parents Dorothy and Metro Park, her brother John and sister Annie to Canada at age five where they lived in Shephard until she married John Bodnaruk. Together they raised their family of four daughters. After a career with the C.N.R., Mary and John built their home in Forest Lawn in 1958. Mary loved her garden, her flowers and crocheting, also knitting for her family. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Metro; her husband John; sisters, Katie and Annie; and brothers, John and Steve. She is survived by her four daughters, Olga (Jim Townsend) of Mazenod, Saskatchewan, Nancy (Mickey Kohut) of Calgary, Helen Bianowsky of Drumheller and Betty (Ron Frey) of Medicine Hat; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mary may be gone but will always be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Family and friends are invited for Visitation at PIERSON'S Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 - 17 Avenue S.E., Calgary) on Thursday, June 8, 2006 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Prayers at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (44 Street and 16 Avenue S.E., Calgary) on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Vincent Thao Dinh, OP, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to make donations to a charity of their choice.
