ELDERKIN Kim Joyce Ellen In memory of our dear Kim Elderkin, the kindest heart in the world. She was born in Nova Scotia and brought up in Montreal. Kim was a strong Christian and went to be with Jesus Christ on June 6, 2006 in a fatal car accident. She is a beautiful spirit and she will now be free of pain. She always lived life with a cheerful disposition and always looked on the bright side of life. She rescued many, both humans and animals with her compassion, love and understanding. She volunteered at the Suicide Helpline, animal shelters, and visited the sick with her "tornado of puppies circling her". She set an example for each of us to live life to the fullest and "swim in the ocean each chance you get". Everyone was her friend and she welcomed all into her home. She is survived by her loving mother, Joyce Porteous DeWitt and Arthur DeWitt; her loving father, Malcolm Elderkin; sister Anne Elderkin and Willy Curley; sister Cheryl Wallace and Richard Wallace; brother Joseph Porteous; sister Sherry Rumney and Greg Rumney; nephew Joshua Rumney; niece Jennifer Rumney; best friend Peggy Harris, and best buddy Ken Clarke. In honor of Kim, please send all donations to the SPCA. We would like to celebrate her generous spirit in a Memorial Service to be held at Westhills Community Church in Calgary, Alberta on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. or contact Sherry at 403-608-1991.
