KLATZEL Frank Joseph Frank Klatzel passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the age of 78 years. Frank is survived by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Paulette; children, Marilyn (Doug) Johnson, Jim (Sharon) Williams, Bill (Debby) Williams, daughter-in-law Melody Williams; grandchildren, Trudy, Joe, Michelle, Kelly, David, Cory, Travis, Jamie and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Val (Madline), Ada (Des), Helen (Art), Ilene (Jim), Millie; and sisters-in-law Virginia and Betty. Frank was predeceased by his son Dave, brothers, Steve and Joe, and brother-in-law Walter. Frank Klatzel was born in Scott, Saskatchewan on April 20, 1928 and moved to Calgary in 1951. When he first arrived in Calgary, he worked for the gas company for two years. In 1953, he began a thirty-year career working for the City of Calgary. Frank married Paulette on November 30, 1974. Following his retirement, he focused on his interests of hunting, camping, square dancing and barbecuing (specializing in blackened duck). He had a passion for motorcycles, Pinto horses, and western attire.
