SEASTONE Sam Arnold 1958 - 2006 It is with overwhelming grief we announce the sudden death of Sam Seastone after a brief struggle with cancer on June 14, 2006. Formerly of Calgary, recently of Englewood, Colorado, Sam died at his summer home in Creede, Colorado. Sam attended Sir Winston Churchill High School and S.A.I.T. in Calgary. Although of great intellect, athletic and artistic ability, Sam found his niche as Maintenance Manager of the Big River Ranch in the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains, where he spent the last fifteen summers of his all too short life. The mutual respect between Sam and his parents flourished over these years, during which the three of them built two houses together by hand and then turned them into homes. Sam's tragic passing is a great loss to the community in general, but in particular to his parents, Don and Loraine Seastone, formerly of Calgary, recently of Fort Collins and Creede, Colorado, his only sibling, Calgary lawyer Sally McLellan of the North Hill Law Office, and his only nephew, Matt McLellan, who has taken over Sam's business near Creede, Colorado, and many other beloved relatives. Sam was predeceased by both his paternal and maternal grandparents, to whom he brought great joy. Sam was respected by anyone and everyone who took the time to get to know him. Sam was a great lover of puzzles and likely solved every one he ever encountered except the big one. We can each pay tribute to Sam's life by solving the puzzle that is our own life. Sam's wishes were honoured with the cremation of his remains at Monte Vista, Colorado. Sam will be sorely missed and remembered on a daily basis.
