CLARKE Eric 1920 - 2006 Eric Lloyd Clarke passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the age of 85 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty four-years, Anita Clarke; son Eric Jr. (Iris); daughters, Pat Clarke, Peggy (Menno) Bergen, Penny (Brian) Stroick, Pam Fulton (Bob) and families. Eric is also survived by his sisters, Jean (Bill) Furgeson, Laura Unsworth; and sisters-in-law, Lee Barron, Mary Kanerva, Yvonne Johnson and Carmen (Archie) Currie. He will also be missed by his ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, also by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Leticia Clarke; and brother Roper; sisters, Elsie, Pat and Eillid. Eric was born in 1920 and was a native Calgarian. He will be remembered for his countless contributions and time spent volunteering for the Calgary Stampede and Downtown Attractions. Eric was a partner with his brother in Clarke's Auto Parts since 1945. He retired in 1985 and his son and nephew are now the third-generation owners of this family business.
