COMTOIS, Conrad “Connie“ - In loving memory of Conrad Comtois, 75 years, who passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at SRH Laurentian site. Beloved husband of Velma Comtois (nee St. Germain) of Hanmer. Loving father of Rick (wife Cathie) of Hanmer and Mitch (wife Carole) of Val Caron. Cherished grandfather of Carly of Ottawa, Breanna of Hanmer and Vanessa of Val Caron. Son of Bertha (nee Cyr) of Sudbury and of the late Donat Comtois. Dear brother of Lorraine Pelletier (husband late Royal), Claudette Gravelle (predeceased), Marc Comtois, Rachel Sottile (husband Frank), Diane Lachapelle (husband Jacques) all of Sudbury and Louis Thouin of Montreal. Survived by sister-in - law Dolores Trudel of Burlington. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Connie worked at INCO for 35 years and was a proud member of the Mine Mill Union. He enjoyed coaching broomball and NOHA hockey in the Valley, and was the driving force behind the construction of the Valley East arenas. His favourite pastimes were blueberry picking with his friends, especially Barry and crossword puzzles. Memorial visitation will be held at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr. (at Hwy 69N), Hanmer on Sunday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Conrad's life will be held in the chapel Monday, June 26, 2006 at 11 a.m. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the War Amps would be appreciated.
