DUNSMORE, Adeline B. (nee McNab) - 92 years, gone to be with her Lord in Heaven, Saturday June 24th, 2006 at the SRH- Laurentian Site. Beloved wife of Orval Dunsmore predeceased 1995. Loving mother of Marilyn Boyko (husband John predeceased) of Toronto, Ann Yeomans (husband Ron) of Sudbury and Beverley Kuz (husband Ray) of Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of Kim, Janice, Margo (Mark), Jennifer, Marnie, Natalie (Vaso), Lesa, Ronald (Louise) Kendall (Leslie), David (Christie), Ryan, Steven and 13 greatgrandchildren. Dear daughter of Thomas and Agnes McNab predeceased. Dear sister of David McNab (wife Anne) of Sudbury and the late Nancy Grylls, Jack Adam and Isa McNab, all predeceased. Loved and cherished by surviving cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Born in the town of Kirkconnel, Scotland, in 1914, Adeline came to Canada at the age of 10 years with her loving parents Thomas and Agnes (Nan) McNab, settling in Victoria Mine, Ontario. Later in Levack and Sudbury, she worked for many prominent families in their homes before marrying Orval Dunsmore in 1935. She had two daughters, Daphne Ann and Beverley Joan, and also loved and raised Marilyn Rose, Orval's daughter from his first marriage (wife deceased). Adeline moved to Gatchell in 1935 and remained in the same house for 71 years, until her death. She kept very busy in her home with her family and brought her girls up with a knowledge of and love for God and his son Jesus, attending the Gatchell Gospel Hall for years. She knitted fervently for her children, and helped many neighbours and friends to do the same. Taking the St. John Ambulance Course as a young mother, she welcomed being the “nurse“ at Church and Family gatherings. She had a vibrant spirit and doted on every child that came into her life. She spoke fondly of her dear Scotland and her loved ones there and her stories will be remembered and repeated by many others for generations. She lovingly cared for her husband until his death in 1995. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Wednesday, June 28th 2006 at 11 a.m. interment in the Parklawn Cemetery.
