PICARD, Florida (née Gauthier) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Fiday July 28th, 2006 at the age of 90 years. Daughter of the late Lucien and of the late Delima (née Fournier) Gauthier. Wife of the late Arthur Picard, predeceased in 1988. Loving mother of Aline LaCoste (Donald), Maurice Picard and Claire Robineau (late René) all of Sudbury, Raymond Picard (Karen-Anne) of Chelmsford, André Picard (late Beverly) of Sudbury and Fernand Picard of Cochrane. Predeceased by her sisters, Marie Doolittle (late George), Thérèse Ranger of Timmins, Amanda Paquette, Rose Goulet, Mathilda Dasti and by her brothers, Josephat “Jos“ Gauthier Thomas, Cyril, Ovide and Wilfrid. Lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law, Rosee Gauthier and Laurette Gauthier. Predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Marie Gauthier and Yvonne Gauthier. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, her great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Florida was a devout catholic. She enjoyed the many card games with her family and friends. The family expresses its appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff (4th floor) at the Sudbury Regional Hospital (St-Joseph's Health Centre) and the staff at the Extendicare Falconbridge (4th floor) for their kind and compassionate care given. The family will receive friends at the CO- OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 31st, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Co-Operative Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations to the Extendicare Falconbridge or to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
