MARAZZATO, Battista - In loving memory of Battista Marazzato. It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family of Battista Marazzato announces his passing peacefully June 30th, 2006 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. He was 92 years old. Battista was born in 1913 in Morgono, Italy. He served in World War II and was stationed in Africa. On July 4th, 1942 he married his loving wife Paolina (Biscaro). In 1951, he brought his family to Canada in search of a better life for his family. They settled in Gatchell where he worked for the City of Sudbury in Maintenance. Upon retiring he and Paolina travelled with the seniors from the Caruso Club. Battista was an avid gardener and enjoyed making wine for his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Paolina (Biscaro). His son Bruno (Joanne), and daughter Emelia (Denis) St. Aubin of Lively. Beloved Nonno of 5 loving grandchildren; Tina (Blair) Holub, Todd (Carrie-Anne), David (Heather) of Lively, Stephan (Analiese) of Markham and Jamie (Rob) Ricci, also of Lively. Cherished Bis- Nonno to Jordyn, Dylan, Hunter, Grant, Hailey, Blake, and Ryan of Lively. Survived by sister Luigina and brother Nino both of Morgono, Italy. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church, 19 Mary St. Sudbury, Monday, July 3rd, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Anthony's or Sudbury Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
