SOKOLOWSKI, Boleslaw In loving memory of Boleslaw Sokolowski, 94 years, who passed away Tuesday, July 4th, 2006 at his home. Beloved husband of Janina (Wojcik) Sokolowski and Zofia (Golec) Sokolowski both predeceased. Loving father of Joseph (wife Teresa) of B.C., Boleslaw “Bill“ (wife Helena) of Thunder Bay, Bogumilia “Ann“ (husband Hans Bartsch) of Sudbury, Eva predeceased (husband Conrad Sawyer). Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Special friend and brother-in-law of Julie. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Born in Poland, he served with the Polish Army and was a prisoner of war during World War II. After the war he moved to Belgium where he worked in the coal mines, then in 1951 he immigrated to Canada working at INCO for 23 years, retiring in 1972. He enjoyed gardening and blueberry picking. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Casimir's Church, 210 Paris St., Saturday, July 8th, 2006 at 10 a.m. Interment in the Sudbury Catholic Cemetery. Donations to the St. Casimir's Church would be appreciated.
